Important to know

The TOOLBUS Interface for AllFusion ERwin Data Modeler and COOL:Biz enables the conversion of Entity-Relationship Models and Database Schemas from COOL:Biz to Logical and Physical Data Models in AllFusion ERwin: • Entities, Entity Subtypes, Relationships, Attr ibutes and Information Types from COOL:Biz are converted to Entities, Entity Subtypes, Relations hips, Attributes and Domains for AllFusion ERwin. • Entity-Relationship Diagrams from COOL:Biz are migrated to Subject Areas in AllFusion ERwin, and the layout of the Entity-Relationship Diagrams is reproduced to a high degree. • Database Schemas from COOL:Biz are migrated to Physical Models in ERwin. The references between Tables and Entities, between Attributes and Columns, and between Foreign Key Constraints and Relationships are also converted. Note: Process Models can be migrated from COOL:Biz to AllFusion Process Modeler (formerly available as BPwin) by the TOOLBUS Interface for AllFusion Process Modeler and COOL:Biz.

Conversion Process

To migrate Data Models from COOL:Biz to ERwin, the COOL:Biz model must be exported into a BML file. The TOOLBUS Interface creates a XML file for ERwin 4.0/4.1 from the BML export file.

Platform

The TOOLBUS Interface for AllFusion ERwin and COOL:Biz requires Windows NT/2000/XP. It supports AllFusion ERwin versions 2.6, 3.0, 3.5, 3.5.2, 4.0, 4.1 and 4.1.4, and COOL:Biz releases 3.2, 4.0, 4.1, 5.0 and 5.1.
