Important to know

The TOOLBUS Interface for the ARIS Toolset and case/4/0 enables the export and import of Data Models and Function Trees between the ARIS Toolset and case/4/0. The interface supports these ARIS diagram types:
+ IE Data Model
+ eERM (extended Entity-Relationship Model)
+ SAP-SERM ? Attribute Allocation Diagram
+ Function Tree.
Model Mapping: ARIS IE, eERM, und SAP-SERM Data Models, Attribute Allocation Diagrams and Function Trees are bi-directionally mapped to ER Models and Function Structures in case/4/0. For every Data Model diagram from ARIS an Area is generated in case/4/0, and vice versa. For the Data Model migration from case/4/0 to the ARIS Toolset the layout of the EntityRelationship diagrams is maintained nearly completely, if the “IE Data Model”, or the “SAPSERM” model methods are used in ARIS. For “eERM” diagrams a standard layout is generated. For the migration from ARIS to case/4/0 the Entities are placed in the case/4/0 Areas in similar positions as in the ARIS Data Model diagrams. Function Trees and the textual descriptions of Functions are completely migrated in both directions.

Conversion Process

The TOOLBUS Interface for the ARIS Toolset and case/4/0 uses the XML export/import files of the ARIS Toolset and the API functions provided by the case/4/0 Integration Toolkit for the export and import of models.

Platform

The TOOLBUS Interface for the ARIS Toolset and case/4/0 requires Windows 2000, or Windows XP. The interface supports the ARIS Toolset 4.1, 5.x, 6.x, and 7.x, and case/4/0 4.3b, 5.x, and 6.x.
