The TOOLBUS Interface for ARIS Process Models and PowerDesigner BPMN enables the conversion of Value- added Chain Diagrams, Event -Process Chain (EPC) Diagrams and BPMN 2.0 Diagrams from ARIS Business Architect to PowerDesigner BPM N 2.0 models, and the conversion of PowerDesigner BPMN 2.0 models to ARIS BPMN 2.0 models. The layout of the ARIS Diagrams is maintained in the PowerDesigner Models, and vice versa.
Conversion Process
In order to migrate ARIS Diagrams to PowerDesigner, an ARIS Group must be exported in to a XML file (AML file), which is converted to PowerDesigner BPM using the BPMN 2.0 Executable or BPMN 2.0 Descriptive language. In order to migrate BPMN 2.0 models from PowerDesigner to ARIS, the PowerD esigner BPM files are parsed, and converted to XML import files for ARIS.
Platform
The TOOLBUS interface for ARIS Process Models and PowerDesigner BPMN supports ARIS Business Architect versions 7.1 to 9.6, and other ARIS products, which include ARIS B usiness Architect functionality. The TOOLBUS Interface supports Sybase PowerDesigner versions 12.5 to 16.5 SP03.
