The TOOLBUS Interface for ARIS Data Models and PowerDesigner CDM, LDM and PDM enables the conversion of Data Models from ARIS Business Architect to PowerDesigner Conceptual Data Models (CDM) and Logical Data Models (LDM), and vice versa. The unidirectional conversion of Physical Data Models (PDM) from PowerDesigner to ARIS Table Models is also supported. The diagram layout of the ARIS Diagrams is maintained in the PowerDesigner Model s, and vice versa.
Conversion Process
In order to migrate ARIS Model s to PowerDesigner an ARIS Group must be exported to a XML file (AML file), which is converted to a PowerDesigner CDM or LDM file. In order to migrate C DM, LDM or PDM model s f rom PowerDesigner to ARIS, the PowerD esigner CDM, LDM or PDM file s are parsed, and converted to XML import files for ARIS.
Platform
The TOOLBUS Interface for ARIS and PowerDesigner requires Microsoft Windows XP /Vista /7. The interface supports ARIS Business Architect versions 7.2 to 9.6. It also supports other ARIS products, which include ARIS Business Architect functionality. The TOOLBUS Interface supports Sybase PowerDesigner versions 10.0 to 16. 5 SP03.
