The TOOLBUS Interface for ARIS and Rational Rose enables the conversion of UML Diagrams from IBM Rational Rose to ARIS Business Architect, ARIS UML Designer and the ARIS Toolset. Rational Rose UML diagrams supported for the conversion to ARIS Business Architect and ARIS UML Designer:

The UML diagrams and the UML objects are convert ed from Rational Rose to ARIS with their properties and documentation, and the layout of the UML Diagrams is maintained

Conversion Process

The TOOLBUS interface reads.MDL files using the Rational Rose Extensibility Interface (REI), and it creates XML (AML) import files of ARIS Business Architect / ARIS UML Designer.

Platform

The TOOLBUS Interface for ARIS and Rational Rose requires Microsoft Windows 2000/XP/Vista. The interface supports ARIS Business Architect, ARIS UML Designer and the ARIS Toolset 6.2, 7.0 and 7.1, and Rational Rose 2000, 2000e, 2001, 2001A, 2002 and 2003.
