Important to know

The TOOLBUS Interface for Corporate Modeler and ARIS enables the import of extended Event – Process Chains (eEPCs), Value Added Chains and IE Data Models from ARIS Business Architect i nto Corporate Modeler, and vice versa. The TOOLBUS Interface also supports Oracle Business Process Architect. eEPCs can be imported either into Generic Model s, or into System Dynamics Models in Corporate Modeler, and exported from there. Business Funct ions (Processes), Events, Connectors, Organizational Units, Entities, Relationships, Entity Subtypes, Attributes, Identifiers (Keys), Domains, Allowable Values (Discrete Values) and Data Usages (CRUD Information) are imported into Corporate Modeler with th eir properties and textual descriptions, and vice versa. The layout of e EPC Diagrams and Entity – Relationship Data Models from ARIS is maintained in the Corporate Modeler diagrams to a high degree, and vice versa.

Conversion Process

In order to migrate models from ARIS to Corporate Modeler, an ARIS Group must be exported into an ARIS XML export file (AML file). The TOOLBUS programs convert the models contained in the ARIS export file, and generate a XML import file for Corporate Modeler. In order to migrate models from Corporate Modeler to ARIS, the CM model must be exported to a XML file. The TOOLBUS programs convert the models contained in the CM export file, and generate a XML import file (AML file) for ARIS.

Platform

The TOOLBUS Interface for the ARIS Toolset and Corporate Modeler requires Windows 2000 /XP /Vista /7. It supports ARIS versions 6.2 to 7.2, and Corporate Modeler versions 10.3 to 2011.1.
