Convert Enterprise Architect to ERwin Data Modeler
Current version: 4.04
The bi-directional TOOLBUS Interface for Enterprise Architect and CA ERwin Data Mod eler enables the conversion of UML Class Models, Entity Relationship Models and Data Models from Sparx Enterprise Architect to Logical Data Models and Physical Data Models for CA ERwin Data Modeler (and vice versa). The layout of the Class diagrams, Entity Relationship diagrams and Data Model diagrams from Enterprise Architect is maintained in the Subject Area Display s of CA ERwin Data Modeler, and vice versa.
In order to migrate UML Class Models, Entity Relationship Models or Data Models from Enterprise Architect to CA ERwin Data Modeler, the TOOLBUS I nterface reads Packages from an Enterprise Architect Project (EAP file or server database) using the API functions, or it parses a XMI export file from Enterprise Architect alternatively. The UML Class Models, Entity Relationship Models, or Data Models from Enterprise Architect are converted to Logical and Physical Data Models for CA Erwin Data Modeler, and an ERwin XML import file is generated. In order to migrate Logical or Physical Dat a Models from CA ERwin Data Modeler to Enterprise Architect the TOOLBUS I nterface reads ERwin.erwin,.xml,.er1, or.erx files, or models from CA ERwin Model Manager (Model Mart). The Logical and Physical Data Model s from ERwin are converted to UML Class Models, Entity Relationship Models, or Data Models for Enterprise Architect, which are inserted into a new Package in an Enterprise Architect Project (EAP file or server database) using the API functions, o r via a XMI import file.
The TOOLBUS Interface for Enterprise Architect and CA ERwin requires Windows XP/Vista /7. It supports Enterprise Architect versions 6. 0 to 1 2.0, and CA ERwin Data Modeler versions 4. 1.4, and 7.1 to 9.7.
