The TOOLBUS: CA ERwin Data Model Export er for Rational Software Architect enables the exp ort of UML Class Diagrams from IBM Rational Software Architect (RSA) and IBM Rational Software Modeler (RSM) to Logical Data Models in CA ERwin Data Modeler. UML Classes, Associations and Attributes f rom RSA/RS M are converted to Entities, Relationships and Attributes f or CA ERwin with their properties and documentation. The layout of the UML Class Diagrams from RSA and RS M is maintained for the Subject Ar eas in CA ERwin.
Conversion Process
The CA ERwin Data Model Export er for Rational Software Modeler uses the Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF) to export UML Class Diagrams from IBM Rational Software Architect and Rational Software Modeler, and it generates XML import files f or CA ERwin Data Modeler.
