Important to know

The bi – directional TOOLBUS Interface for Corporate Modeler and PowerDesigner enables the conversion of Conceptual Data Models (CDM) and Logical Data Models (LDM) from Sybase PowerDesigner to Entity Models for Casewise Corporate Modeler, and vice versa. Entities, Relationships, Attributes, Keys and Domains are converted with their properties and textual descriptions in both directions. The layout of the PowerDesigner D ata Models is maintain ed in the Entity Diagrams which are generated for Corporate Modeler, and vice versa. User Defined Properties: The TOOLBUS interface supports the migration of User Defined Properties (UDPs) from Corporate Modeler to User Extensions fo r PowerDesigner, and vice versa. PowerDesigner Extended Model Definitions (XEM files) and User Defined Property Definitions for Corporate Modeler can be generated automatically.

Conversion Process

In order t o import Conceptual and Logical Data Models fro m PowerDesigner to Corporate Modeler, the PowerDesigner model s (CDM and LDM files) are converted to XML import file s for Corporate Modeler. In order to import Entity Models from Corporate Modeler in to PowerDesigner, the Entit y Models must be exported to a XML file. The XML export file is converted to a CD M or LDM file for PowerDesigner.

The TOOLBUS Interface for Corporate Modeler and PowerDesigner requires Windows XP /Vista /7. It supports Casewise Corporate Modeler 9. 0 to 2 0 1 3, and Sybase Pow erDesigner versions 10.0 to 1 6. 5 SP03.
