The TOOLBUS: PowerDesigner PDM Importer for InfoSphere Data Architect DBM enables the import of Physical Data Models from PowerDesigner PDM into Physical Data Models in IBM InfoSphere Data Architect (R DA ). Databases, Tables, Columns, and other relational database objects are converte d from PowerDesigner PDM to Phys ical Data Models for RDA with the ir properties and documentation, and t he layout of the Data Models from PowerDesigner PDM is maintained in the Physical Data Model diagrams for RDA.
Conversion Process
The PowerDesigner PDM Importer for InfoSphere Data Architect parses the PDM files fro m PowerDesigner, and it uses the Eclipse Modeling Framework (EMF) to create Physical Data Models in IBM InfoSphere Data Architect (. dbm files).
