The UML Diagrams and the contained UML objects are converted from Enterprise Architect to Sybase Power Designer with the ir properties and documentation, and vice versa. The layout of the UML Diagrams from Enterprise Architect is maintained in the UML Diagrams in Sybase Power Designer, and vice versa.

Conversion Process

For the conversion of UML models from Enterprise A rchitect to Power Designer, the TOOLBUS interface parses the XMI export files from Enterprise Architect, and it generates OOM files f or Power Designer. For the conversion of UML models from Power Designer to Enterprise Architect, the TOOLBUS interface parses the OOM files f rom Power Designer, and it uses the API functions of Enterprise Architect to create and update Enterprise Architect Projects (EAP files).
